Last Monday, rapper Lil Yachty was arrested after a Georgia State Patrol officer clocked him driving over 150 miles per hour in white 2020 Ferrari F8.

An officer stopped the rapper speeding northbound on Interstate 75, and he was then taken into custody.

The car was released to an unnamed friend of his.

The 23-year-old Yachty, whose real name is Miles McCollum, was charged with reckless driving and speeding. He has since been released.

On Monday, he posted a video to Instagram of himself sitting in a car with stacks of money and the caption read, “I’m not in jail.”

In a Tik Tok video, Yachty said, “Yeah. It happened… Slow down, kids.”

The “Lil Boat” rapper totaled his red Ferrari in the same area in June after spinning out of control. Witnesses told investigators that the roads were wet, and McCollum was traveling at a high rate of speed.

After the June accident, he tweeted “So thankful for my life. Never take it for granted” before sharing images of the accident with the caption “blessed.”

Yachty was issued citations then for driving too fast for the road conditions, failing to maintain a lane and driving in the carpool lane.

Georgia State Patrol told CNN that there is video footage of the recent stop, but it has not been released because the case has not been adjudicated. It has not been determined if Yachty will face additional charges.

He has not made a public statement about the incident, other than to say, “God I look homeless and janky in my mugshot.”

Yachty was most recently featured on “Oprah’s Bank Account,” featuring Drake and Da Baby, the first single of his fourth LP, Lil Boat 3. He has also been performing amid the coronavirus pandemic, rocking a live drive-in show in Chicago last month.
