Dreamville Festival, which will take over Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park this weekend, announced a change to their headline performers on the first day of the event.

New York-native rapper 50 Cent is headlining the festival on Saturday alongside R&B singer SZA.

He replaces singer Chris Brown, who is no longer performing due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to Dreamville Festival on social media Monday morning.

50 Cent, known for his hit singles like “In Day Club,” “21 Questions,” and “Window Shopper” is also the executive producer of the STARZ television series “Power” and its spin-offs. The rapper performed in Raleigh last year on his “The Final Lap Tour.”

Sunday’s performances also changed as R&B singer Muni Long, known for her hits like “Made For Me” and “Hrs & Hrs,” is no longer performing. Instead, Greensboro native and rapper Hunxho will perform.

Dreamville Festival is expecting thousands of fans Saturday and Sunday as hip-hop and R&B artists like Nicki Minaj, J.I.D., Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red and the festival’s creator, J. Cole, take the stage.

Last year, the festival drew 100,000 people to Raleigh over two days. Dreamville Festival Week kicks off in Raleigh on Wednesday with several free events.
