Rancho Mirage Woman's Club awards over $50,000 to community youth organizations

The Rancho Mirage Woman’s Club is proud to share that, since inception, we have given over $950,000 to local charities supporting our mission of “Dedication to the Youth, Education and Advancement of Our Community.”

This year’s “Havana Nights” fundraiser gala was held at the Indian Wells Country Club and was a great success. As a result, at our April 25 philanthropy awards luncheon at Mission Hills Country Club, we awarded over $50,000 to four local causes that support the youth in our community.

They are:Shelter from the Storm – Angelina Coe (Executive Director)Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert – Cindy Burreson (CEO & Executive Director)Green Room Theater – David Catanzarite (Founding Artistic Director)Rancho Mirage Elementary School – Shane Hagar (Principal)

And, annually, we give a scholarship to a nursing student at College of the Desert through anestablished endowment.

We are proud of our members who give selflessly to our organization so that we may benefit otherorganizations in the desert – it truly is a team effort and we couldn’t do it without them!

We thank our sponsors and donors and continue to ask for your support as we move forward in our“March to $1,000,000 in Donations” – we hope to hit this milestone next year – with your help, we will!
