Rancho Cordova hit-and-run leaves teen with major injuries, sheriff’s office says

(FOX40.COM) — A 13-year-old girl is dealing with “serious injuries” after she was hit by two vehicles in Rancho Cordova, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the girl was walking along a crosswalk at the intersection of Zinfandel Drive and International Drive when an SUV hit her around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The SUV driver stayed at the scene, the sheriff’s office added.

After the initial crash, the girl, who was still on the road, was hit by another car, a silver sedan, SCSO said. The driver of that car fled the scene.
