Rams News: T.J., Foles, & another Demoff Faux Pas

T.J. back with Rams

Missing since offseason workouts, safety T.J. McDonald will be rejoining the Los Angeles Rams when veterans report. McDonald was arrested back in May in L.A. County on suspicion of driving under the influence.

“McDonald is in good spirits and the team is eager to get him back in its secondary, which suffered key free agent losses this offseason”, General Manager Les Snead is quoted as saying to NFL.com. Still unknown is what legal and NFL discipline he could face in 2016.

Where in the world is Nick Foles?

The rumors began to fly as quickly as they seemed to get knocked down, some of them anyway, when it was announced the team had parted with QB Nick Foles.

Pick a team, most any team, and he has/had a link there for any number of reasons. The 49’er, Cowboys, Steelers, Colts, and Chiefs all have had their team attached, in rumor only, to the now unemployed Nick Foles. The one name most often heard, is the Cowboys.

And then it’s not.

Either way, I have a hard time believing he is a quarterback whose career is in the rear view mirror. But like all relationships gone bad, this one needed to come to an end.

Rams still get it wrong in St. Louis

From the WTF file, fans in St. Louis received emails offering Rams team gear. In the email was a Rams logo, with the top of the email reading, “The Official Store of the Los Angeles Rams.”

Ouch.

Courtesy of Mediaite.com, “When I got this email, I thought at first someone was playing a sick joke on me,” said fan Joseph Nassif. “When I realized it was from the Rams, I was shocked.”

Another email recipient was quick to note Rams COO Kevin Demoff, who is persona non grata in St. Louis, and for good reason.

It’s tough to grow, much less maintain a fanbase when you keep stepping in it as Demoff and the Rams organization has.
