Rampart High is going Bald for Bucks

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m., Rampart High School will go Bald for Bucks in a fundraising event for cancer research.

Bald for Bucks is a fundraiser event where students shave their heads to raise funds for cancer research. Donations raised at the event will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), and the assembly will honor Dean Eckert, a seven-year-old in remission from clear cell sarcoma.

In the past, Rampart has raised more than $600,000 for LLS, and in 2020, they helped to advance 14 of the 17 approved blood cancer treatment options approved by the FDA. Their goal this year is $70,000 to continue funding blood cancer research.
