Rally to save Orchard Mesa Community Pool
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — A rally was held Wednesday at the Orchard Mesa pool to gain support to save the pool from demolition.
Talks to demolish the pool began when the city proposed to build a new pool inside of the planned recreational center that has not yet been built.
Ellen Thoma, an attendee at the rally explains how the Orchard Mesa pool changed her life.
“This pool is my medication, it’s what keeps me going every day.”
Grand Junction City Council will be meeting Monday, Mar. 18 at the Ute Avenue Fire Station for public comment.
