Raise The Woof: Shindig to benefit Sunrise Service Dogs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Raising the Woof Shindig will take place at the Under the Sun Dog Training and Daycare on Saturday, May 18, to benefit Sunrise Service Dogs, an organization dedicated to providing training and service dogs for those who need them, at no cost to recipients.

This year’s event features a special appearance by distinguished guest, David Frei, co-host of NBC’s National Dog Show, who will lead the live auction. Guests can look forward to dancing to live music provided by Exit West, a popular Colorado Springs country band.

A saloon and chuckwagon barbecue will allow guests to quench their thirst and satisfy their hunger.

A plethora of items will be up for silent auction online from Wednesday, May 1 through the beginning of the shindig on May 18. These items include trips, purses, jewelry, gift cards to local restaurants, and even a hand-signed Taylor Swift guitar.

A live auction will take place at the event, led by David Frei, and include prizes such as a trip to Bali, Broncos tickets, and more.

The event takes place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Under the Sun Dog Training and Daycare at 6540 Vincent Drive. Tickets are available at www.sunriseservicedogs.org and cost $50 for adults 13 and older, $25 for kids 12 and under, and free to kids 2 and under.
