Rachel Maddow is looking to find a new owner for her longtime Manhattan apartment. According to the New York Post, the MSNBC political commentator recently listed the 2,650-square-foot pad for $2.35 million, a substantial bump above the $1.25 million that she paid for it back in 2010. (Fun fact: Maddow purchased the home from REM frontman Michael Stipe.)

The sunny unit comprises two bedrooms and one full and one half bathroom and was renovated under Maddow’s ownership, though it does retain many of its original details, including wood support columns and exposed brick walls. The finished hickory wood floors, however, are new. The home opens onto a cozy entrance foyer that leads to a spacious great room with an open floor plan. The dining area is topped with an eye-catching modern chandelier, and the living area is anchored by a soap-stone-framed floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace.

A long hallway leads to the other wing of the apartment, where the two bedrooms are located. The smaller of the two is currently being used as a home office, while the larger boasts a spa-like marble en suite bathroom. A custom walk-in closet is sandwiched between the main bedroom and the bathroom, providing ample storage space for even the most extravagant of wardrobes. Shared amenities in the building include a bike room, a laundry room, and a 24/7 live-in superintendent.
