QUOLA celebrates Historic Preservation Month

May 17—VALDOSTA — Quality of Life (QUOLA) hosted Mary Wilson Joseph, the African American Programs Coordinator for Georgia's Department of Community Affairs, who presented on Tuesday, May 14, at the Liberty Theatre Building in celebration of Historic Preservation Month.

After listening to Tommy Hox and the Harmonix Band and touring the Liberty Theatre Building, Joseph, Erica Miller with QUOLA, and Jackie Carter enjoyed a tour of the Lowndes County Historic Courthouse given by Jessica Ganas, the facilities & marketing coordinator.

Carter, a long-time member of the First Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, reported that the congregation is celebrating its 156th year.
