Quimby Drive in Mobile County abruptly shut down — what you should know

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile County announced on Tuesday that Quimby Drive, between Three Notch Road and Meadow Gay Drive, is temporarily closed to through traffic.

City of Pensacola issues traffic advisory for several roads

The closure is in place for the Mobile County Public Works crews to make emergency repairs to a cross-drain.

ROAD CLOSURE LOCATION:

Quimby Drive will remain closed until those repairs are finished, and Mobile County Public Works has not specified an estimated completion time.

The roadwork is required for safe travel, according to county officials, and the detour route has been marked.

The closure is in Mobile County District 3.
