Quicksilver: The Superhero Who Cannot Photograph Well

This week's Entertainment Weekly features a big first look at the Avengers sequel, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the photos prove one thing: Quicksilver is the superhero who just cannot take a good photograph.

This is Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver in Age of Ultron, and look how dopey he looks. He looks like an Under Armour model by way of Disney Prince who needs to get his roots done. (Note: Elizabeth Olsen looks pretty awesome as Scarlet Witch. Check out her wonky Double-Jointed Fingers of Uncontrollable Witch Powers!)

But, wait! Haven't we already seen Quicksilver looking very silly this year? Well, yes. Marvel (owned by Disney) and Fox both possess the rights to the character, therefore he also showed up in X-Men: Days of Future Past. And when we initially saw Evan Peters' take on the character, he, well, looked pretty dumb too. (The concept art for the Marvel Quicksilver looked better than the reality.)

And let's not forget that horrific Carl's Jr. ad:

But we shouldn't have discounted the X-Men Quicksilver on first impressions alone, since his Jim Croce-scored turn in the movie was an absolute delight. So, we're not writing off the Avengers Quicksilver. We're just laughing at him, for now.
