Queen Rania of Jordan Steps Out in a Sophisticated Spin on Animal-Print Dressing
Queen Rania of Jordan is on a roll lately. The monarch has turned modest midi skirts into fashion moments on two recent occasions: to promote the Say No to Bullying campaign and to welcome Austrian president Alexander Van der Bellen. When she stepped out in Amman yesterday to take in artist Fareed Fakhriddin’s exhibit Tarjamat, she unleashed another new look: a regal spin on animal-print dressing.
The leopard motif was woven into the silk fabric of her dress, offering a more subtle and royal-appropriate, but still playful, take on the classic spots. Its electric blue color was eye-catching, while '80s-inspired pouf sleeves added dimension to the slim silhouette. A slit hem created a sense of movement, while dark stilettos were a classic finishing touch.
