Queen Elizabeth Barely Kept Her Cool When She Saw This Amazing Cake

Queen Elizabeth may be the longest-standing monarch, but even she couldn’t contain her excitement over this gigantic edible masterpiece.

Last week, the queen was presented with a cake to celebrate the launch of Britain’s latest aircraft carrier, the HMS Queen Elizabeth. But it wasn’t just any ordinary confection you’d pick up at the local bakery. (Hint: It took more than 100 hours to make and weighs in at about 300 pounds. NBD.)

Behold an eight-foot replica of the 65,000-ton carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth. The cake, which was created by award-winning Scottish cake designers 3D Cakes, is a scaled-down version of the newly launched carrier and features an edible version of the queen herself.

At the cake’s focal point are figurines of sailors and Queen Elizabeth. One of the sailors is holding a plaque that reads “HMS,” while the queen’s reads “Me.”

While we can’t deny that the cake is truly impressive, Queen Elizabeth’s reaction to the masterpiece completely sealed the deal.

Almost too pretty to eat.
