Quad Cities climate and vulnerability analyzed

Organizations around the QCA got together to address changes in the climate and the vulnerability of the area.

Partners of Scott County Watersheds say significant rain, insufficient drainage systems, melting snow and dam failures contribute to more flooding in the Quad Cities. They say the area has a higher risk of extreme rainfall, especially in Bettendorf and Davenport and that heavy rainfall could bring more floods downstream in parts of the Quad Cites. Presenters emphasized the importance of coming up with solutions.
