Putin says almost all NATO potential used against Russia

STORY: Speaking at an end-of-year meeting of Russia's top defence chiefs, Putin said the NATO military alliance was using its full capabilities against Russia .

"It is well known that today the military potential and capabilities of almost all major NATO countries are being used. Nonetheless, our soldiers, sergeants and officers are fighting for Russia bravely and resiliently," he said.

Putin also urged the assembled military leaders to use their experience gained fighting in Syria and during the 10 months of what Moscow calls its "special military operation" in Ukraine.
