Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has stated that dialogue with Vladimir Putin is impossible at the moment since Putin is not an independent figure, and he lives in a vacuum of hate towards Ukraine supported by his inner circle.

Details: The journalists recalled that at the beginning of the full-scale war Zelenskyy sought dialogue with Putin, and asked him whether Ukraine’s president would like to have such a dialogue now.

Zelenskyy explained that at the moment it doesn't make sense because Putin is not an independent figure.

"This is the problem, he’s brainwashed people, and he has been brainwashed himself. He is in an information bubble, and he wants to destroy us. You cannot sit down at the negotiation table with a person whose only goal is to destroy you. And you cannot establish a just dialogue in such conditions," Zelenskyy stated.

Zelenskyy believes that the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland is one of the formats where the basis with "a powerful agreement and more pressure on Russia" should be prepared.

Quote: "He [Putin – ed.] will not always be strong, he is getting old and will die in any case. It’s not that we should specifically wait for this moment. It will come sooner or later…We just mustn’t give away our state now. It will be hard to have it back later. Like it was with Crimea and Donbas after 2014. It was extremely hard, and we did not manage to defend them…Donbas, Crimea…and people began to forget.

The world will not think about Ukraine for so long, everyone has their own internal struggles. We managed to raise this information wave and to not be alone…but not everyone in the West is as strong now as they were at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. But we still have strength, and we mustn’t give up.

He [Putin – ed.] is not an independent figure as of today, he has this wave of narratives that Ukraine is led by the US, while his main tool is big money… He will only leave the Kremlin over his dead body. His circle keeps him in this system. We need to find a weak spot in this system. If you look for it daily and keep fighting, you will surely win."
