Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could end his war in Ukraine in five minutes with a phone call to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to tell him to withdraw his troops from Ukraine, said Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski,

He made his comments to the Polish parliament on April 25, RMF 24 reported.

"Vladimir Putin could end the war in five minutes with a single phone call to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu: 'We are withdrawing troops from Ukraine,” he said.

“Unfortunately, Ukraine cannot end the war with a single phone call. There is a big difference."

Responding to questions about whether Poland has strategies for resolving Russia's war against Ukraine, Sikorski stated, "Yes, we do. Restoration of Ukraine's internationally recognized borders following President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's peace formula."

Sikorski earlier debunked claims by Russian propagandists that his country allegedly has plans to "annex parts of Ukraine," including Lviv, Volyn, and Eastern Galicia.

These false accusations by Russia aim to divide Poles and Ukrainians, he said.

Zelenskyy's Peace Formula

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a ten-point Peace Formula, which includes the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity, withdrawal of Russian troops, release of all detainees, war crime tribunals, and security guarantees for Ukraine, during the G20 summit in November 2022.

Ukraine organized four meetings regarding the Peace Formula in Copenhagen, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Malta, and Davos, Switzerland in 2023. These meetings involved discussions between national security and foreign policy advisors.

Switzerland plans to host a high-level conference on Ukraine's peace formula, with the participation of 80 to 100 countries in mid-June 2024.
