Vladimir Putin reacts to FBI firing before hockey game (Video)

As we all know, the greatest Russian hockey player in history is Vladimir Putin – no question. He also happens to be the president of the nation. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!

President Putin was about to jump on the ice for a game in Sochi when he was approached by CBS News correspondent Elizabeth Palmer.

The reporter asked Putin if the firing of FBI Director James Comey would have any impact on the US-Russia relations (off the ice). Putin responded and his press aide, Dmitry Peskov, provided the translation. CBS used subtitles in the video below.

Is it just us or is the logo on the front of Putin’s sweater oddly similar to the logo of the Hockey Hall of Fame?

There is no section in the Hall of Fame of a player to the stature of Putin’s. He is simply too dangerous good.

A few of the highlights: In May 2014, Putin played in a ‘friendly’ amateur hockey game. He scored six goals and five assists. In Sep. 2015, playing in a charity game with Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin, he put on a show and led his squad to a 9-5 victory. To celebrate his 63rd birthday in Oct. 2015, Putin scored not one, not two, not five, but SEVEN goals.

It’s a good thing Palmer didn’t take up Putin’s invite to come play hockey. He was an offensive machine in the game. According to Russian media, the president scored seven points.

For all you young despots hockey players out there, watch and learn from the dictator grand master of the beautiful game.
