Publix, Kroger, Walmart: GA Christmas 2020 Grocery Store Hours
GEORGIA — Christmas is likely to look different this year as millions of Americans opt to stay home, marking the holiday with smaller celebrations amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Smaller celebrations, however, don’t necessarily mean we’ll bypass holiday traditions like Christmas dinner. Have no fear — there’s a large selection of grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips in Georgia.
Here are the hours for Georgia grocery stores that will be open, along with a list of those that won’t:
ALDI: Stores will be open Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location; closed on Christmas Day.
BJ’s Wholesale Club: Most stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Dec. 25.
Costco: Most stores will be open limited hours Christmas Eve, and all stores will be closed Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.
CVS: Most locations are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Day.
Food Lion: Stores will be open until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
The Fresh Market: Stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Kroger: Stores will close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed through Christmas Day.
Lidl: Most stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed through Christmas Day.
Piggly Wiggly: Stores are independently owned, so call your location for holiday hours.
Publix: Stores will open at their regular time and close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Sam’s Club: Stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
Sprouts Farmers Market: Stores will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Target: Most stores will close at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Trader Joe’s: All stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. Stores are closed Christmas Day.
Walgreen’s: Selected locations are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.
Walmart: Most stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Whole Foods: Most stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
