Publishers Clearing House surprises NE Ohio man at work with big check

SHEFFIELD LAKE, Ohio (WJW) — A local man won a hefty check from the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes this week, but he had to be tracked down at his job to receive his prize.

The prize patrol first arrived at Roger Ebner’s home in Sheffield Lake only to be told he was at a nearby school, where he is the grounds manager, PCH reported.

“I can’t believe this! I just bought a house so I can definitely use the check more than the truck right now. My wife is not going to believe this — she has been giving me crap for playing every single day,” he told PCH.
