8:28 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about possible fraud at CJ's Country Store in North Powder. A deputy made contact and took the information. Law enforcement will follow up.

8:32 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about harassment at Stella Mayfield Elementary School in Elgin. A deputy logged the information.

10:47 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a wolf depredation on the 76500 block of Palmer Junction Road in Elgin.

1:53 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about criminal mischief on the 1000 block of South Main Street in Union. The responding deputy took the information and explained the available options.

3:02 p.m. La Grande police took a report of theft on the 2200 block of Jakob Avenue.

3:27 p.m. A caller from the 100 block of South Third Street in Union requested contact from the sheriff’s office about an animal concern.

4:21 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a possibly intoxicated driver at Q Avenue and Claire Street. An officer responded and law enforcement provided extra patrol.

6:22 p.m. La Grande police took a report for criminal mischief on the 600 block of 18th Street.

6:34 p.m. La Grande police responded to Chevron/Jacksons Food Stores for a disturbance. Officers arrested Thomas James Vitale, 23, of La Grande, on a Union County detainer.

7:28 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a suspicious vehicle near Valley Concrete Pumping in La Grande. Both a deputy and an Oregon State Police trooper responded. The vehicle was disabled.

TUESDAY, MAY 7

12:30 a.m. Clark County Sheriff’s Department arrested Kristopher Lee Iager, 45, on a Union County failure to appear warrant.

2:54 a.m. La Grande police took a noise complaint at Thunderbird-Cove Apartments and an officer advised.

9:52 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a suspicious vehicle at Earth & Water Works in La Grande. A deputy responded and the owner agreed to move the vehicle.

11:11 a.m. La Grande police received a complaint about parking and garbage on the 1000 block of Jackson Avenue. The responding officer did not find anything blocking the alley and saw only one piece of garbage on the ground.

11:51 a.m. La Grande police took a call about mail theft on the 2300 block of Cove Avenue. An officer reached out and explained the available options.

12:09 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about possible animal abuse or neglect on the 2000 block of Cove Avenue in La Grande. An animal enforcement officer made contact and took the information. They also explained the available options to the reporting party.

12:47 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took an animal complaint from the 100 block of South Third Street in Union. An animal enforcement officer reached out and explained the options available.

12:53 p.m. A caller from the 100 block of Second Street in North Powder told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a loose horse. An animal enforcement officer advised.

1:50 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a noninjury vehicle crash at Adams Avenue and Willow Street. The responding officers took a report and cited one individual.

2:04 p.m. Police responded to The La Grande Inn for a suspicious vehicle and trespassed one subject from the property.

2:31 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft from the 10200 block of North McAlister Road in Island City.

3:43 p.m. La Grande police responded to Cove Apartments for a domestic disturbance. The officers determined the situation was verbal in nature and the parties agreed to separate for the night.

4:59 p.m. A caller informed La Grande police about a neighbor disturbance on the 2600 block of Birch Street. Officers responded and counseled all of the parties.

5:57 p.m. La Grande police received a call about suspicious circumstances at TacoTime. Officers responded and resolved the situation.

7:40 p.m. La Grande police responded to Brickyard Lanes and trespassed one subject.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

7:55 a.m. During a field interrogation on the 1200 block of Willow Street, La Grande police cited Sean Robert Stellings, 29, in lieu of lodging for second-degree criminal trespass.

9:07 a.m. La Grande police took a report of a hit-and-run on the 700 block of Fourth Street.

10:18 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a neighborly dispute happening on the 900 block of Third Street. An officer made contact, took the information and explained the available options.

11:15 a.m. La Grande police responded to Spruce Street Market for a report of a suspicious person and warned one subject.

3:36 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a disturbance on the 3200 block of Columbia Street. Officers responded and explained the available options.

4:19 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about an injured animal on the 1200 block of Water Street in Cove. An animal enforcement officer responded and explained the available options.

4:45 p.m. La Grande police received a call about harassment at Grande Ronde Valley Repair. An officer made contact and documented the information.

4:45 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a disturbance on the west end of Adams Avenue. Officers responded and separated the parties.

5:32 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Darr Road and Kingsbury Lane in Elgin for a trespass. The deputy added the subjects to the trespass list.

12:34 a.m. La Grande police responded to Cove Apartments for a disturbance and resolved the situation.

3:01 a.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about horses loose at East Bryan Street and North Benson Street. The information was logged.

8:54 a.m. La Grande police arrested Joshua Christopher Rauli, 38, on a Union County warrant charging order to show cause.

10:50 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a runaway from the 300 block of Third Street. The juvenile returned home and an officer advised.

FRIDAY, MAY 10

12 a.m. La Grande police received a call about harassment at Jefferson Avenue and Hemlock Street. Officers responded and counseled the subjects.

2:37 a.m. La Grande police took a call of a possible assault at Sundowner Mobile Park. Officers responded and took the information. Law enforcement will follow up.

3:23 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a possible car prowler at Second Street and B Avenue. Officers responded and determined it was the driver of a disabled vehicle who needed a jump start.

6:03 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received an alert about a panic alarm at Imbler Market and a deputy advised. Oregon State Police responded and handled the call.

8:51 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 2800 block of Third Avenue and trespassed one subject.

9:55 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a homeless individual near A1 Appliance. An officer reached out and explained the available options.

11:44 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a trespass and responded to Max Square. An officer trespassed one subject from the library.

12:27 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a request for contact about an animal issue on the 62500 block of Finley Creek Lane, Summerville. An animal enforcement officer made contact and explained the available options.

2:36 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a domestic disturbance on the 3000 block of Q Avenue. The responding officers determined the situation was verbal in nature and counseled the parties about being loud.

3:47 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a wanted person on the 1200 block of V Avenue and an officer advised.

4:16 p.m. La Grande police received a call from the 3300 block of Union Street about an assault that had previously occurred. An officer responded and took the information.

4:59 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a dog bite from the 100 block of North Main Street in Union.

5:55 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a suspicious person at Riverside Park. Officers responded and warned the subject for disorderly conduct.

8:40 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a subject who was refusing to leave Bud Jackson’s Eatery and Taps. Officers responded and trespassed the subject.

9:06 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2900 block of Spruce Street for a fight. Officers arrested April Dawn Pauley, 43, for second-degree disorderly conduct, being a felon in possession of a weapon and harassment.

10:05 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a hit-and-run on the 2700 block of N Avenue.

SATURDAY, MAY 11

1:07 a.m. La Grande police took a noise complaint from the 300 block of B Avenue. An officer advised and the noise was turned off prior to law enforcement arrival.

2:21 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a trespass at Achieve Property Management, La Grande. A deputy responded and counseled the subject.

6:53 a.m. During a field interrogation on the 2700 block of Birch Street, La Grande police arrested Jace Darrell Clark, 32, of La Grande, and Betsy Rose Willis, 34, of La Grande, on probation and parole detainers.

9:26 a.m. La Grande police took a report of theft on the 1500 block of Z Avenue.

9:59 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a transient individual near La Grande Chevron Foodmart. An officer responded and the subject agreed to move along.

10:52 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a trespass at Walmart in Island City. The responding deputy told the subject to leave and he did.

12:45 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft at Walmart in Island City.

12:48 p.m. A caller informed La Grande police about littering on the 1300 block of Z Avenue. An officer responded and disposed of the garbage.

12:50 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took an animal complaint from the 1800 block of G Avenue in La Grande.

2 p.m. La Grande police responded to the Spruce Street Market on a report of a suspicious person and warned one subject for disorderly conduct.

2:38 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a suspicious person going through the dumpster at La Grande Chevron Foodmart. An officer responded and the subject left the area.

2:56 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 3200 block of Columbia Street for a disturbance and separated the parties.

3:56 p.m. La Grande police responded to Palmer Avenue and the railroad tracks for a suspicious person. Officers arrested Adrienne Helton, 18, for fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

4:18 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a burglary on the 2000 block of Scorpio Drive.

4:54 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a dog in a hot car near Walmart in Island City. The responding deputy found that several of the car windows were down and the dog was not in distress.

7:21 p.m. La Grande police responded to Grande Wood Apartments for a suspicious person and trespassed one subject.

9:22 p.m. La Grande police took a report for theft at Jay Dee's Market.

10:37 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 500 block of North Cove Street in Union for a disturbance. The situation did not rise to the level of a mandatory arrest.

10:41 p.m. Law enforcement received a call about a missing person from the 57900 block of Highway 203 in Union. Officers made contact and the subject was located.

10:57 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a disturbance on the 1500 block of Madison Avenue. Officers responded and determined the subject was fine.

SUNDAY, MAY 12

12:30 a.m. La Grande police took a report of a dog bite on 26th Street.

7:14 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Island City and cited Breanna Davis, 35, in lieu of custody for second-degree trespass.

7:41 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 1000 block of Lake Avenue and arrested Ricia Shepherd, 39, for second-degree trespass.

9:32 a.m. During a field interrogation at Safeway, La Grande police arrested Christopher Lee Cox, 39, for trespass.

9:33 a.m. La Grande police took a report of criminal mischief at Rock and Sons Tire and Auto Repair.

9:37 a.m. La Grande police received a call about criminal mischief at F Avenue and Cedar Street. An officer advised.

11:21 a.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about possible animal abuse or neglect on the 3200 block of Alder Street in La Grande. The information was logged for an animal enforcement officer.

12:45 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 1900 block of O Avenue for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrested Corazon Hernandez, 24, for fourth-degree assault.

7:56 a.m. La Grande police took a report of criminal mischief near Eastern Oregon Trail Property Management.

9:07 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a trespass on the 2600 block of Bearco Loop. An officer responded and the subject moved along.

10:40 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of criminal mischief at the Eagle Cap Excursion Train in Elgin.

11:36 a.m. La Grande police took a report of criminal mischief at FedEx Ground.

11:50 a.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a cellphone found at the Elgin Community Center and Pool. A deputy responded and took the cellphone to Elgin City Hall.

12:51 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a cellphone theft on the 2000 block of Alder Street. An officer made contact and determined it was a civil situation. The officer explained the available options.

10:12 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious person at Flying J Travel Center. Deputies responded and the subject moved along.

11:50 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a complaint of a sex crime in Imbler.

11:58 a.m. The Union County Sheriff's Office took a report of a theft at Legacy Power Sports and RV in Island City.

12:43 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a stolen vehicle on Interstate 84. A deputy made contact and took the information.

2:41 p.m. La Grande police received a request to trespass two subjects from the 1000 block of Frontier Court. An officer made contact and attempted to locate the individuals.

3 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a trespass on the 62000 block of Mount Glen Road in La Grande. Deputies responded and counseled the subject.

3:21 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a trespass on the 2400 block of Riddle Road in La Grande. The responding deputies trespassed two subjects and took a report.

3:26 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about stolen property from the 11000 block of Kristin Way in Island City. A deputy made contact and took a report.

4:23 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2400 block of Adams Avenues and trespassed two subjects.

7:35 p.m. During a field interrogation on the 2000 block of Washington Avenue, La Grande police arrested Michael Jay Terkelson Jr., 45, of La Grande.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15

6:43 a.m. La Grande police responded to the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company and took a report for criminal mischief.

10:08 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Officer there were dogs at large on the 1200 block of Cedar Street in La Grande. An animal enforcement officer responded and counseled the owner.

11:37 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to North McAlister Road and West First Street in Island City for a suspicious person. Deputies counseled the subject.

3:03 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s office about a transient camp on Spring Creek Road in La Grande and a deputy advised.

4:34 p.m. La Grande police received a request to have multiple subjects trespassed from Safeway. An officer responded and took the information. Law enforcement will attempt to locate the subjects.

4:37 p.m. La Grande police took a complaint of a sex crime.

6:16 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a disturbance at H Avenue Storage. Officers responded and determined the situation did not rise to the level of a mandatory arrest.

7:34 p.m. Law enforcement responded to the 11600 block of Island Avenue for a report of suspicious circumstances and determined the building was secure.

7:38 p.m. Law enforcement responded to the 200 block of West Oregon Street in Union for a disturbance and resolved the situation.

8:02 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a suspicious vehicle at Pioneer Drive and Palmer Avenue. Officers responded and the subjects moved along.

9:25 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a call about shoplifting at Walmart in Island City. Deputies responded and cited Alexander William Dooley, 25, in lieu of lodging for second-degree criminal trespass.

10:02 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about suspicious circumstances at Taco Bell in Island City. A deputy responded and trespassed one subject.
