Public Records: Ross County restaurant inspections

The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as reported by the Ross County Health Department in April.

April 10

Bainbridge 1st Stop, 432 E. Main St., Bainbridge. Observed items stored in front of and inside the hand wash sink.

American Legion Luther Giffin Post 14, P. O. Box 436, Bainbridge. Observed cheese and eggs holding at 46 F in the reach-in cooler.

April 18

Bishop Flaget School, 570 Parsons Ave., Chillicothe. Pasta salad is not being hot held at the proper temperature of 135 F. Observed held between 110-125 F.

April 22

Parmar Store #109, 11342 U.S. Route 50, Bourneville. Observed pizza holding at 120 F. Food is to be held at 135 F or higher.

April 23

Dairy Queen 1, 388 N. High St., Chillicothe. Observed handwashing sink being used for purposes other than handwashing. Observed drink contents in the handwashing sink. The equipment food contact surface of the can opener is unclean. Working containers of chemicals are not properly labeled.

April 24

Dock at Water, 80 E. Water St., Chillicothe. Observed the handwashing sink at the bar being used for purposes other than handwashing (as a dump sink). Working containers of chemicals are not properly labeled at the bar and by the dish machine.

April 25

Mister Sub, 543 E. Main St., Chillicothe. The facility does not have proof of an employee with management and supervisory responsibility who has Ohio Certified Food Protection Manager Certification.

April 26

Whit's Frozen Custard of Chillicothe, 2057 N. Bridge St., Chillicothe. Observed food not properly protected from contamination by storing the food in packages, covered containers, or wrappings. There is an insufficient air gap between the flood rim and the water supply inlet on the custard machine.
