Public meetings to be held virtually under new Sacramento County health order

A new public health order issued by Sacramento County on Thursday requires that all public meetings be held virtually. The order impacts all public boards, councils, commissions and other similar bodies. The public health order comes as the omicron variant, along with holiday gatherings, has led COVID-19 cases to skyrocket in Sacramento County. As of Wednesday, the case rate in the county was at an all-time high of 83.7 per 100,000.
