Proulx seeks fifth term on Carlton County board

Apr. 25—CLOQUET — Carlton County Commissioner Thomas Proulx hopes for a fifth term on the board.

Proulx announced Thursday he will again seek to represent Carlton County's 3rd District, which encompasses most of the city of Cloquet and extends north to the St. Louis County border.

Proulx, a Cloquet resident, was first elected to the county board in 2008 and served on the Cloquet City Council before that. Proulx has been running for his seat unopposed since 2012.

In a statement, Proulx said he is looking forward to another term offering a common-sense approach to everyday issues.

Proulx's announcement comes days after

Commissioner Gary Peterson announced he won't seek reelection

for his 5th District seat.
