Protesters Tear Down Police Barricade as Demonstrators March on Government House

Protesters were seen tearing down a temporary barbed-wire barrier set up by police in Bangkok, Thailand, as they marched toward the prime minister’s offices, calling for his resignation on October 21.

The Bangkok Post said police had set up the barricade at the Uruphong intersection to block the protesters and prevent them reaching Government House.

Thai PBS World reported that protesters called a halt to their demonstrations once they reached further barricades at the building. But they were reported to have said they would resume protests in three days if their demands – for Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to resign, and to release the protesters arrested earlier – were not met.
