Protesters Block Roads in Toulouse Suburb as Demonstrations Sweep France

Demonstrators blocked roads across France on Saturday, November 17, to protest rising taxes on fuel.

The demonstrations were coordinated by the Yellow Vests movement, whose supporters often wear high-visibility jackets while protesting.

Le Monde, citing France’s Interior Minister Christophe Castaner, said one protester was killed by a motorist in Pont-de-Beauvoisin in Savoie on Saturday morning.
