Prosecutors charge 4 in death of missing Wisconsin teenager

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Prosecutors have charged four people in the death of a teenager who disappeared in Milwaukee last year.

Jovanny Puga's body hasn't been found, but authorities say they believe he was beaten and thrown into the Milwaukee River.

Puga, of Green Bay, was 18 when he last contacted his mother in February 2017.

Milwaukee County prosecutors filed charges Tuesday. Nineteen-year-old Brandan Guyton-Denn of Green Bay, 19-year-old Shawn Leitner of Manitowoc and 19-year-old Jaleel Schultz of Milwaukee are charged with first-degree reckless homicide. Nineteen-year-old Emma Brud, of De Pere, is charged with harboring or aiding a felon.

The complaint says Brud told investigators that Guyton-Denn wanted revenge because Puga had beaten a friend of his.

An attorney for Brud did not immediately return a call seeking comment. Online court records don't list attorneys for the men.
