New 'Prometheus' Trailer Suggests It Will Be a Very Good Movie

Well, John Carter was a bust, for various reasons, but Prometheus, Ridley Scott's mind-bending return to the Alien universe, continues to do everything right -- and is looking more and more to be the cinematic event of the year. In this newly released trailer, blurry but still awesome, we get an eyeful of visuals from the sci-fi epic, about a space crew in 2085 who head into the dark void in search of clues to the origins of the human race. From the looks of things, they live to regret it.

Keep a lookout for stars Noomi Rapace, aka the original Lisbeth Salander, and Logan Marshall-Green, who despite what your eyes are telling you, is a different entity entirely from Tom Hardy. Oh, and we get a glimpse at some aliens, too -- or at least some disconcerting alien/human hybrids. No exploding stomachs, though. Speaking of detonating body parts, a much longer trailer is scheduled to premiere today at 7:15 p.m. ET --  in case your minds have not yet been sufficiently blown.
