Production of Greenfield Tea quietly resumes in Russian-owned factory near Kyiv
Production of Greenfield Tea, made by a company owned by Russians Sergey Kasyanenko and Alexander Yevnevich, has clandestinely resumed after being halted at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Details: The production of Greenfield Tea in Ukraine was managed by Orimi Ukraine LLC, a subsidiary of Russian firm Orimi Trading, owned by Sergey Kasyanenko and Alexander Yevnevich. The Ukrainian company, registered as a subsidiary of Cypriot offshore company Rimexo Limited, was listed as being owned by British citizen Veronika Kasyanenko.
In addition to Greenfield Tea, the Russian subsidiary company in Ukraine produced teas under the brands TESS, Princess Nuri, Princess Candy, Princess Gita and Princess Java. It also manufactured coffee products such as Jardin, Piazza del Caffe and Jockey.
After the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the aforementioned tea brands disappeared from supermarket shelves as Ukrainian factories ostensibly halted operations. However, the Greenfield manufacturer later laid low and resumed production under the radar.
Sources familiar with the market situation stated that the Greenfield production plant is still operational. A journalist from Ekonomichna Pravda visited Trebukhiv near Brovary and confirmed that the TS Trade factory building’s lights were on, cars were parked at the premises and employees' bicycles were seen near the security gate.
Security guards were stationed in booths near the barriers, surveillance cameras were active and the area was tidy and well-maintained. The fact that the factory is operating was confirmed by two local residents the Ekonomichna Pravda journalist spoke to.
In addition, the Ekonomichna Pravda journalist visited the Volyn wholesale market in Kyiv, one of the well-known hubs of trade in grey-market goods and contraband in the capital. Packages of Greenfield, TESS and Princess Noori tea were sold in several places.
According to data available to the editorial office, the retailers Ideal, Arhon (Hrosh), MehaMarket, Rost, Klas, Ambar, SamMarket and Veselka are among those known to still sell Russian tea.
