Priyanka Chopra’s Met Gala Dress Couldn’t Fit in a Car

Baywatch star Priyanka Chopra explained that although she loved her outfit at the Met Gala, the logistics of it literally gave her a nightmare. On Live With Kelly and Ryan, Chopra said that she needed three assistants to carry the 20-foot train of her trench-coat-inspired dress. What’s more, she wasn’t able to sit down in the garment, so she was forced to take a minibus to the venue and arrive standing up.

The train weighed heavily on her body and mind. Chopra recalled: “Three days before the gala, I woke up from a nightmare. I was flying in from Mumbai and I woke up on the flight and I said, ‘Oh my God, am I going to have to carry 20 feet of trench-coat fabric all night?'”

Chopra asked the designers to make the train detachable so she could enjoy the rest of the gala trainless.
