Prison Break, Shots Fired get premiere dates from Fox

Prison Break: Watch a new trailer for all thriller, no filler revival

Premiere dates for Fox’s spring shows have been set, including an escape plan for Prison Break.

The network will premiere the rebooted drama that spells out its premise in the title on April 4. Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, and Paul Adelstein are among the stars returning to the series, which originally ran from 2005 to 2009.

Other series debuts include Making History, a time-travel comedy starring Adam Pally and Leighton Meester, which will hit the air on March 5, the same night that The Last Man on Earth unveils its spring premiere. Kicking & Screaming, a comedy competition series in which expert survivalists are paired with “pampered partners” to complete a set of demanding challenges in a jungle in Fiji, will premiere March 9. The show, which is executive produced by Fear Factor‘s Matt Kunitz, is hosted by New Girl‘s Hannah Simone.

Shots Fired, an event series that delves into the effects of a pair of racially charged shootings in a small Southern town, will debut on March 22, proceeded by Empire‘s spring premiere. The cast includes Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James, Helen Hunt, Richard Dreyfuss, and Stephen Moyer.

In other returning show news, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which left fans on Jan. 1 with a giant Gina cliffhanger, will reemerge on April 11. Gotham returns on April 24 while Lucifer is back on May 1.
