As a newly minted royal Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has a lot of hurdles to cross as she learns to fit in to the royal lifestyle. Fortunately, her husband, Prince Harry, is there to offer words of advice and encouragement.

Sharp eyed Instagram account harry_meghan_updates caught such a moment during yesterday’s celebration. If you watch closely, you’ll see that the duchess says to her husband, “Do it?” and he replies, “yes.” Then she dips into a curtsy, smiling the whole time.

It’s a moment that gives a window into how strict the royal protocol is, and how sweetly Prince Harry is guiding his American-born bride through learning her new role and the rules associated with it.

The annual celebration is held in honor of the monarch for her birthday and the entire royal family comes together at Buckingham Palace to watch a military parade. Other members of the family in the procession included Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.

The newlyweds made their way to the event in a horse-drawn carriage. Markle wore an off-the-shoulder dress from Carolina Herrera and a matching hat by Philip Treacy.
