Is Prince Harry Ready To Have Kids With Meghan Markle?

Prince Harry is still very attached to his Princess Diana’s memories that he is still thinking twice about taking fatherhood, according to a body language expert.

Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship is getting serious. In fact, the royal prince has reportedly pulled ranks to have the “Suits” star bypass the airport queue. Aside from this, the couple just traveled to Africa for Markle’s 36th birthday, which intensified the engagement rumors.

Since the proposal is at bay and the wedding is happening next, children now come into the picture. Judi James, a body language expert, shared her thoughts about Harry being a dad.

According to James, Harry’s body language is sending mixed messages concerning his readiness to be a father. “Harry is not only the prince intent on continuing his mother’s legacy in a very visual way - mirroring her ability to use empathy, touch and Diana’s special brand of hugs to register caring and concern for disadvantaged kids around the world - but he also displays strong signs of still being that small boy in need of hugs himself after his own maternal care and support system was snatched away,” James told Express.

“This dual role of support and affection-giver and eternal child still in need of parental hugs throws up some contradictory body language signals when he talks about having children himself,” James continued.

James also recalled an interview where Harry described himself as a “fun uncle.” Initially, Harry’s posture was slightly slumped, but when he was asked about the kids, he tucked his feet under the chair, a movement that suggests a desire to hide.

When asked if he is ready to be a dad, Markle’s boyfriend gave a positive response, but his body showed otherwise, James noted. “I can’t wait for the day,” Harry answered the question while his eyes flicked to the right, indicating that he was imagining how it would feel in the future.

But James noticed that instead of nodding to support his positive claim, Harry shook his head from side to side, which is associated with saying, “No.” His right hand performed an anxious-looking pick while he kept his hand in his pocket, which again signifies a desire to hide.

“Becoming a father clearly has a very strong appeal to Harry, but the possibility of moving out of the sole role of Diana’s son might still make him fearful,” James explained. “He does appear to long to have his own children but - as he’s seen with his brother - that will mean giving up his ‘child’ status and this dilemma could be prompting the contradictory emotions apparent in his body language. Marriage and kids could easily help him heal after the loss of his mother but this confirmation of ‘growing up’ could also make him fear he’ll feel more distant from her too.”
