Prince Harry and Prince William Had 'Obvious Distance' Between Them at Easter Service, Source Says
It appears Prince Harry and Prince William are not as close as they once were.
The brothers both attended Easter Service on Sunday at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle alongside their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth -- who turned 93 on Sunday -- but a source tells ET there was an obvious distance between the two. Harry arrived at the church separate from Will and Will's wife, Kate Middleton, and stood at a distance from his brother when the Queen arrived. In the past, Harry would walk in with Will and Kate, with whom he is so close, the source notes, adding that Harry feels like Kate is the sister he never had as a child.
But on Sunday, Harry stayed close to cousins Peter and Zara Phillips and their spouses -- Autumn Phillips and Mike Tindall, respectively -- with the family standing in between the brothers and separating them. Harry is especially close to the Tindalls, who recently named him godfather to their youngest daughter, 10-month-old Lena.
The source says the brothers are at "different stages in their life" and are "no longer the boys" they once were.
Harry did, however, exchange a few words with both Will and Kate outside St. George's Chapel as captured in a video posted on Instagram.

The source adds that earlier this month, when Harry and Will both attended the premiere of Sir David Attenborough's Our Planet with their father, Prince Charles, they also seemed to keep a distance from one another, with their father separating the two. In the past, fans have been more accustomed to seeing 34-year-old Harry and 36-year-old Will joke and laugh with one another.
Meanwhile, Harry's pregnant wife, Meghan Markle -- whom a source recently told ET is due "any day now" -- didn't attend Easter service, but did wish the Queen a happy birthday on her and Harry's official Instagram account.
The frosty Easter run-in between the brothers comes amid a Sunday Times report that there are plans for Harry and Meghan to possibly move to Africa in 2020 for charity work and to promote Britain after the birth of their baby, for two to three years. According to the British newspaper, the plan was headed by Sir David Manning, the former British ambassador to the US and special adviser on constitutional and international affairs to both Harry and William.
Buckingham Palace did not deny the report in a statement that read, "Any future plans for The Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage. No decisions have been taken about future roles."
Harry and Meghan officially split households from Will and Kate last month. The couple also recently moved out of their previous residence at Kensington Palace -- where Will and Kate also reside -- to Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle ahead of the birth of their baby.
There have been reports that Meghan and Kate, as well and Harry and Will, are not exactly on the best of terms. Last December, a royal source told ET that "tension does still exist" between the brothers after the Duke of Cambridge originally voiced his "concerns" about Meghan when she first started dating Harry. According to our source, the conversation didn't go over well with Harry, and they still had "not mended completely."
However, the four did reunite last month at at Buckingham Palace at a reception to honor Prince Charles. The event, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Prince of Wales' investiture, marked the group's first time together since attending Christmas day services in Sandringham.
