Prince Harry has officially named Prince William as his best man
It’s official: Prince William is the best man.
The royal, who just welcomed his third child with Kate Middleton on Monday morning, will take on the role of Prince Harry‘s best man at the royal wedding on May 19, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

According to a statement from the palace, the groom’s older brother is “honored to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother at St. George’s Chapel.”
The announcement is hardly a shock, as Prince Harry was the best man at Prince William’s wedding in 2011. The elder son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana also canceled his existing plans — he’s president of the Football Association, which has its championship final on the day of the royal wedding — to make the ceremony. No doubt that sacrifice will work its way into his best man speech.
The brothers made an appearance together on Wednesday, joining bride-to-be Meghan Markle — who warmly greeted her future brother-in-law with a kiss on the cheek — for an Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey.
Here’s hoping the father of three’s schedule eases up. Between a new baby and his best man duties, his plate is undeniably full.
