The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Shared Some Incredibly Cute Pics of Prince George on His Birthday

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge know what the people want. For their son’s third birthday, the royal couple released a series of private snaps for the public to gush over — because there’s no better way to celebrate a little prince than by cooing over his cuteness.

“The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs. They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday,” a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said.

The parents released four images: The first is of George having a picnic with the family dog, Lupo, and generously sharing his ice cream; in two others he is on a tree swing engraved with the names “William and Catherine” — in these three he’s wearing a blue-and-white-striped shirt with denim shorts and is barefoot. In the fourth image, George is captured walking on the grounds of the property wearing a striped sweater with a whale on it, khakis, and blue slip-on shoes.

Photographer Matt Porteous, who was given the privilege of photographing Prince George at the Cambridge home in Norfolk in mid-July, said, “I really enjoyed the opportunity to take these photographs of Prince George. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I’m honored that they have decided to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday.”
