Prince George’s County police recover thousands of fentanyl pills after arresting 3 men

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said they recovered a number of weapons and thousands of fentanyl pills after officers arrested three men.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said Dream Edwards, 26, of Columbia, Md., Romel Johnson, 22, of Laurel, Md., and Michael Jordan Thompson, 34, of Washington, D.C. face charges as a result.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Avebury Drive in Laurel where they found four guns, 300 fentanyl pills and more. They said after searching two cars, they found an AK-47, three pounds of marijuana and 3,000 fentanyl pills.

Edwards and Johnson were charged with firearm and drug trafficking-related offenses. Thompson was charged with multiple drug-related offenses.
