Officers asked the suspect, 35-year-old Jhomari Delevante of Silver Spring, to get out of the SUV multiple times.

According to PGPD, when Delevante finally got out, he was holding what officers believed to be a knife while moving toward them. An FHPD officer then shot Delevante. They provided medical aid to him until he was taken to the hospital.
