Prince George’s County police looking for man suspected of killing convenience store owner

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (DC News Now) — Police were looking to identify a suspect who they say killed a Capitol Heights convenience store owner.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said that officers responded to a store in the 900 block of Larchmont Ave. around 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5.

There, officers found 50-year-old Mohammad Hanif of Annandale, Va. PGPD said that he had head trauma and was taken to the hospital.

Hanif died on March 8.

Police believe that the suspect attacked Hanif while stealing from the store before escaping on a bicycle.
