Prince George’s County police: Man killed, another injured in District Heights shooting

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said a shooting in District Heights Wednesday night left one man dead and another injured.

Police said that multiple calls came in around 8:45 p.m. about a shooting that happened in the 3700 block of Donnell Dr.

Responding officers found 29-year-old Davon Brooks of Camp Springs, who had been shot, in a stairwell. Police said that he died there.

Officers also found another man in the area who had been shot. PGPD said that his injuries were not life-threatening.

Investigators were still working to identify any suspects and determine the reason behind the shooting on Thursday.
