Priebus Calls Reid a 'Dirty Liar'

Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus echoed the new Republican attack on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Sunday, accusing him of being a "dirty liar" for his comments about Mitt Romney's tax returns.

"I'm not going to respond to a dirty liar who hasn't filed a single page of tax returns himself," he said on ABC's This Week.

Reid has alleged that Romney is refusing to release his tax returns because he hasn't paid taxes for the past 10 years, an accusation that picked up steam this week as Reid repeated it on the Senate floor on Thursday. But on Sunday, Republicans went on the attack, with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., accusing Reid of being a liar on CNN's State of the Union, and Priebus following suit.

Priebus characterized Reid as hypocritical in his focus on Romney's tax returns, saying that he "complains about people with money but lives in the Ritz Carlton here down the street." He refused to answer the allegations, however, calling it a "made-up issue" and saying that discussion of Reid's allegations was ridiculous.
