Oklahoma City Thunder guard DeAndre Liggins was jailed Saturday night on suspicion of felony domestic abuse, according to KOCO-TV, Oklahoma City's ABC affiliate.
Liggins is accused of assaulting a woman, who is believed to be his girlfriend, while in the presence of a minor.
"We are aware of the situation and take this matter seriously," Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement. "We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time."
Liggins averaged 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds for the Thunder last season. He was drafted by the Orlando Magic in 2011 out of Kentucky.
IndyCar officials placed driver Tristan Vautier on probation and fined him $10,000 on Sunday.
Vautier violated rules 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206.b when his car made contact with Graham Rahal's disabled car under a waving yellow flag condition during Saturday's Grand Prix of Baltimore qualifying, according to IndyCar.
Rule 220.127.116.11 is defined as "engaging in reckless, careless, and/or overly aggressive actions or unsportsmanlike behavior toward other members while rule 18.104.22.168.b states "a waved yellow means reduce speed, passing not permitted, be prepared to change direction or stop, a hazard wholly or partially blocking the track."
Vautier's probation runs through the remainder of the series season. He can appeal the discipline.
