President Trump's first 100 days by the numbers

While President Trump has called the traditional 100-day benchmark for judging new presidents “ridiculous,” the White House released a statement boasting about his executive orders and legislative accomplishments in his first 100 days.

How do President Trump’s actions in the first 100 days compare to those of former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush during the same time period?
Let’s start with executive orders. The White House says President Trump is expected to sign 30 executive orders in his first 100 days. That’s 11 more than Obama and 19 more than Bush signed during the same time period. Some of Trump’s executive orders include: paving the way for repeal of the Affordable Care Act, restricting immigration from six Muslim-majority countries, reversing an Obama-era climate change policy, and strengthening border security and immigration enforcement.
Speaking of official business, Trump’s tally for the number of laws enacted within his first 100 days stands at 28, whereas Obama had 11 and Bush had 7. Some of the laws enacted under Trump are personnel-related, while others modified existing programs or repealed Obama administration rules and regulations.
When it comes to the number of meetings with foreign leaders and heads of state during the first 100 days, Obama comes out on top at 34, George W. Bush at 20, and Trump at 16. U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May was the first foreign leader Trump received at the White House. He also hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Speaking of the so-called “winter White House,” Trump made seven weekend visits to his private getaway in his first 15 weekends as president. According to a Judicial Watch estimate, each visit costs taxpayers $1 million for Air Force One and Secret Service protection. But Trump wasn’t so generous in 2012 and 2014 when he criticized Obama for his travel costs.

Looking at Trump’s tweets over the past 100 days, the “tweeter in chief” has sent more than 450 original tweets from his @realdonaldtrump account, compared to around 300 original tweets from the official @POTUS account.
