President Trump has been in office for just a few days, and already, his administration has been making sweeping policy changes to legislation. Now, according to Reuters, "several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter" say that Trump will sign executive orders restricting immigration this Thursday.

The restrictions will reportedly restrict U.S. access for "refugees and some visa holders from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen," the experts told Reuters.

CNN analyst Juliette Kayyem also tweeted that the Department of Homeland Security is considering "ending Syrian refugee program and a suspension of Muslim majority country visas," adding that the DHS "was also asked to determine whether ending entire refugee program [is] doable."

BuzzFeed reports that civil liberties groups are preparing for Trump to issue orders that would "institute a blanket of suspension of visas issued to certain countries with majority Muslim populations, temporarily suspend the refugee resettlement program, and insitute...'extreme vetting'."

"We are preparing for the inevitability of what kind of 'Muslim ban' will be implemented, and we're working with coalition partners to develop a strategy to defend rights and religious freedoms," Ibrahim Hooper, National Communications Director and spokesperson for CAIR, told BuzzFeed. "Everybody is poised, waiting to see what the language is of this version of the Muslim ban, and we'll go from there. Because until you see the specific language it's difficult to react."

Trump was vocal about his Muslim immigration ban proposal throughout his candidacy, and when asked by The Hill in December of 2015 whether his plans would include Muslim-American citizens abroad, Trump replied, "Everyone."
