During his lengthy and emotional farewell speech, President Barak Obama gave thanks to his partner, Michelle Obama, and no YOU’RE crying.

During a speech which touched on the last eight years of his presidential run, President Obama addressed an exuberant crowd in his hometown of Chicago for nearly an hour. Touching on the forthcoming political uncertainty, Obama also spoke about racial tensions and defended minority groups, saying to the crowd, “Every day I learned from you. You made me a better president and you made me a better man.”

However, things got seriously emotional (and even tearful) when Obama turned his thanks to his family.

At the tail end of his hour-long speech, Obama, who was reduced to tears, addressed Michelle Obama and it’s giving us #relationshipgoals.

“Michelle LaVaughn Robinson of the South Side,” he said to rapturous applause and cheering, “for the past 25 years you have not only been my wife and mother of my children, you have been my best friend. You took on a role you didn’t ask for and made it your own with grace and grit and style and good humor.”

Continuing, Obama said that Michelle had opened up the White House and inspired a generation of people, too.

“You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody,” he said. “And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model. You’ve made me proud. You’ve made the country proud.”

President Obama’s words didn’t only bring himself to tears. The Obama’s 18-year-old daughter, Malia Obama, was also seen crying during the address. Indeed, Obama even thanked her and her sister, 15-year-old Sasha, for their support over the last eight years.

“Malia and Sasha, under the strangest of circumstances you have become two amazing young women, smart and beautiful, but more importantly, kind and thoughtful and full of passion,” he said. “You wore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. Of all that I’ve done in my life, I’m most proud to be your dad.”

At the end of the speech, Malia and Michelle joined Barak Obama on stage for an emotional embrace. Sasha, the family’s youngest daughter, wasn’t present due to the fact that she had an exam.

The First Lady of the United States took to Twitter to respond to her husband’s speech, where she said she was so proud of “all that we’ve accomplished together.” She also accompanied the tweet with the sweetest #throwback picture EVER.

“An incredible journey filled with remarkable people,” she wrote. “I love you Barack.”

Seriously, we’re going to miss seeing the love that these two share SO much, and hope that they’ll have all the happiness in the world going forward.
