The final session of the 194th Annual General Conference concluded Sunday with President Russell M. Nelson addressing Latter-day Saints and announcing locations for more temples.
The president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave the locations for 15 new temples, bringing the total number of temples he has announced as church president to 168.
Two of those locations — West Jordan and Lehi — are in the state of Utah.

The OpenAI Startup Fund, a venture fund that invests in early-stage AI companies and has recently transferred legal control from Sam Altman to Ian Hathaway, has closed on additional $5 million, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Kyle Vogt, the former founder and CEO of self-driving car company Cruise, has a new VC-backed robotics startup focused on household chores. Cruise has started testing its autonomous vehicles in Phoenix, with plans to begin "supervised" driving in the city more than six months after the GM self-driving subsidiary halted its driverless operations across the United States. Cruise announced Monday in a blog post that it will begin testing two vehicles in autonomous mode on public roads in metro Phoenix. A human safety operator will be behind the wheel during this phase of testing, according to the company.
The Biden administration announced Monday that Polar Semiconductor will receive up to $120 million in federal funds to expand its chip manufacturing facility in Minnesota. The funding stems from the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, which Biden signed into law in August 2022 to strengthen the U.S. supply of semiconductors. The expansion of Polar Semiconductor’s facility would enable the company to double its U.S. production capacity of sensor and power chips within two years, the U.S. Department of Commerce said in a press release.
