President Biden: ‘What’s Mitch for?’

President Biden held a press conference Wednesday, defending his administration's track record during his first year in office. Commenting that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has been clear about not doing anything to hand the White House any legislative successes, Biden questioned what McConnell himself stands for.

JOE BIDEN: I think that the fundamental question is, what's Mitch for? What's he for on immigration? What's he for? What's he proposing [? to make it any ?] better? What's he [? for-- ?] dealing with Russia that's different than I'm proposing and many of his Republican friends and his colleagues are supporting as well.

What's he for on these things? What are they for? So everything is a choice. A choice. Look-- I've laid out a proposal on immigration that if we passed it, we'd be in a totally different place right now. But we're not there because we don't have a single Republican vote. My buddy John McCain's gone.
