Prep Roundup: Vikings, Bearcats earn district wins on the diamond

(WJHL) – High school baseball action heated-up on both sides of the Tennessee-Virginia state line on Monday night.

In Jonesborough, the top team in TSSAA Class 3A baseball grabbed another district win over David Crockett, 11-5 in six innings. Tennessee High’s Josh Sizemore and Isaac Blevins each drove in three turns in the victory.

The two teams will meet in Bristol, Tennessee on Tuesday.

In the commonwealth, Virginia High eased past Southwest District foe, Graham, 10-0. Luke Whitt allowed just one hit, while striking out eight batters in 5.0 innings of work for the Bearcats.

Dom White finished with a pair of doubles and four RBI, as well.
