Preorders for Windows Phone 8 devices will reportedly begin on October 21st

Nokia Lumia 920 will only be an AT&T exclusive for six months

There’s a lot to love about Microsoft’s (MSFT) Windows Phone 8. There’s no doubt that Windows Phone 8′s official October 29th launch will be big, but when will eager fans be able to put in their orders for a colorful smartphone? According to The Verge’s sources, preorders for Windows Phone 8 devices will begin on October 21st. Devices such as the Nokia (NOK) Lumia 920 and HTC (2498) Windows Phone 8X can be reserved on that date, although actual release dates will vary. Beyond Windows Phone 8, The Verge also reports that preorders for Windows 8-powered tablets such as the Samsung (005930) Ativ Smart PC and ASUS (2357) Vivo Tab RT will also begin on October 21st.
